A sangeet night in the hills

The story

While the rest of the wedding was being planned, the groom kept coming back to one event: the sangeet. When the night arrived, the stage lived up to it. It was dressed in red roses and hanging greenery, framed by string lights, with a neon sign reading "This night, our story".

The bride wore a red sequinned lehenga that caught every light in the room. Both of them danced solo before their couple dance, which ended in a dip that brought the room to its feet. We photographed the performances from the floor, close to the stage, so the flowers stay in the foreground.

Between the dances we took them up a wooden staircase under a crystal chandelier for a few portraits, and made a black and white frame of them walking in hand in hand. Their cake, three white tiers with their initials on top, sat in a bed of red roses.
